Summary

Storage trials were carried out (at 0 deg C and 90-95% relative humidity) on Chinese cabbage cultivars Yoko and Hanko for 12 weeks and the leaf chicory cultivars Medusa, Nerone and Jupiter for 6 weeks. Packing method, head trimming and sowing date were the variables investigated. After storage, head quality and drop weight plus vitamin C and nitrate contents were determined.
