STUDY, BY NATURAL CIRCULAR DICHROISM, OF THE STRUCTURAL CHANGES OF HAEMOGLOBIN AFTER FREEZE-DRYING.

ETUDE PAR DICHROISME CIRCULAIRE NATUREL DES MODIFICATIONS DE STRUCTURE DE L'HEMOGLOBINE APRES LYOPHILISATION.

Summary

THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY WAS DETERMINING WHETHER FREEZE-DRYING, WITH OR WITHOUT PROTECTANTS, INDUCES CHANGES IN THE STRUCTURE AT THE LEVEL OF HEME OR GLOBIN. THE AA. INTRODUCE THE METHOD USED WHICH IS ABSORPTION AND CIRCULAR DICHROISM. THEY SHOWED THAT A-D-GLUCOSE IS AN EFFICIENT PROTECTANT, NOT INDUCING SIGNIFICANT STRUCTURAL CHANGES. WITHOUT THIS PROTECTANT, THE DICHROIC SPECTRUM OF THE PROSTHETIC GROUP REPRESENTS A STRUCTURAL EFFECT. THESE RESULTS ARE IN THE SAME LINE AS THE OBSERVATIONS MADE WITH THE EXPLORATION TECHNIQUES OF THE FUNCTIONAL PROPERTIES OF HAEMOGLOBIN.
