Study of a movable combined cooling, heating and power system.

Author(s) : WU J. Y., YI H. F., WANG R. Z., et al.

Summary

The energy saving features and the environmental benefits of combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) systems have aroused great interest. This paper deals with the application of a novel movable CCHP system (electrical power higher than 16 kW), which is especially suitable for the use of domestic and light commercial users. The system studied here is integrated with LPG & natural gas engine, adsorption chiller and thermal management controller (TMC). The TMC is a novel device, which performs the functions of heat recovery from the jacket water and exhaust gas, automatic thermal allocation and jacket water temperature control. The design of the TMC, the integration of the CCHP system and the experimental results are discussed in detail.
