Summary

The purpose of this study is to examine a novel compound adsorption dehumidification system that could produce dry air more efficiently from some optimal operating conditions. A numerical model is developed and is integrated with a compound adsorption dehumidification system through a commercial package software COMSOL Multi-physics. This compound dehumidification system combines an adsorption packed bed and desiccant channels. The purpose of this system is to optimize the compound system by studying the key parameters in association with these two dehumidification elements. The result shows that increasing the
controlling temperature in desorption process can improve the performance of system appreciably, including energy saving, and a higher efficiency in dehumidification capability.
