STUDY OF THE FREEZE-DRYING CONDITIONS OF ANAPLASMA MARGINALE ANTIGEN FOR ITS USE IN THE CARD TEST.

ETUDES DES CONDITIONS DE LYOPHILISATION DE L'ANTIGENE D'ANAPLASMA MARGINALE EN VUE DE SON UTILISATION DANS LE TEST D'AGGLUTINATION SUR CARTE.

Author(s) : MOREIRA T.

Summary

PRESERVATION OF ANAPLASMA MARGINALE ANTIGEN AT 277 K (4 DEG C) OCCASIONALLY PRESENTS A CONSTRAINT TO USE THE CARD TEST UNDER FIELD CONDITIONS. FOR THIS REASON, STABILIZERS, FREEZING AND FREEZE-DRYING CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN STUDIED TO PRESERVE THIS ANTIGEN. LACTOSE (10%) WAS THE BEST STABILIZER. NO SIGNIFICATIVE DIFFERENCES WERE OBTAINED WITH DIFFERENT FREEZING OR FREEZE-DRYING CONDITIONS.
