Study on heat conduction and design optimization of double-wicked capsule.

Summary
A mathematical model of water undergoing solidification in a double-wicked capsule, which has a bright future and is being used all over China, is established. The perturbation technique is employed to solve this problem. The correlations of the entire solidification time with Stefan-number and Biot-number are obtained. The effect of radii ratio and Biot-number on the total period of solidification is also analysed. Last of all, design optimisation of this capsule is also discussed.
