Analysis of phase-change heat transfer in a double-core ice-storage capsule in an air conditioning system.

Summary

Solidification and melting in a double-core cylindrical ice-storage capsule was studied experimentally and analytically. The powerful computational technique was used to predict the phase-change position and the time of solidification or melting. Finally, results were calculated and found to be in good agreement with the experimental data.
