Summary
For a thermoacoustic system driven by thermal energy, the critical frequency is a pivotal factor which determines the system work normally or not. A thermoacoustic system is made up of several pipe-sections with different acoustic characteristics. The critical frequencies and other acoustic characteristics of each section are analyzed, and the critical frequency of the complete appliance is studied in this paper. Moreover, the major factor which will influence the performance of the complete appliance is discussed.
