Surface charge changes of thylakoid membranes subjected to a freeze-thaw cycle.
Author(s) : POPOVA A. V.
Type of article: Article
Summary
It is suggested that cryodamage is not specific and leads to changes in electrostatic interactions between the components of the thylakoid membranes. It is supposed that the effect of cryoprotection and cryotoxicity are not strictly dependent on the nature and structure of the cryoactive substances.
