SURFACE TENSION CORRELATIONS FOR SEVERAL FLUOROCARBON REFRIGERANTS.

Author(s) : OKADA M., WATANABE K.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE SURFACE TENSION OF THE REFRIGERANTS R11, R12, R113 AND R114 WAS MEASURED AT TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 273 K TO THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURES, BY A METHOD OF CAPILLARY RISE. THE RELIABILITY OF THESE MEASUREMENTS AND OF THE MEASUREMENTS FOUND IN LITERATURE WITH REGARD TO 14 FLUOROCARBONS ARE DETERMINED. CORRELATIONS OF EVOLUTION OF THE SURFACE TENSION AS A FUNCTION OF THE TEMPERATURE FOR 17 FLUOROCARBONS ARE PRESENTED IN TABLES.
