Author(s) : ANGELANTONI C.
Summary
The conservation system of the renowned archaeological finding known as "The man who came from the ice", has been installed in the new Bolzano Museum for Archaeology in Italy. An innovative refrigeration system will make sure that the finding is preserved for scientific researches as well as for posterity. The system guarantees the same conditions like the preservation by ice. Temperature must be kept constantly at 6 °C below zero and relative humidity at 98%. Today all visitors to the Bolzano Museum can see it thanks to the new conservation system. The paper describes the main features of the plant, showing also some layout details.
