Summary

French translation of a paper presented at the 20th International Congress of Refrigeration in Sydney on September 19-24, 1999 (see IIR Bulletin, reference 2000-1617). The conservation system of the renowned archaeological finding known as "The man who came from the ice", has been installed in the new Bolzano Museum for Archaeology in Italy. An innovative refrigeration system will make sure that the finding is preserved for scientific research as well as for posterity. The system guarantees the same conditions as those achieved using preservation in ice. The temperature must be kept constantly at -6 °C and relative humidity at 98%. Today all visitors to the Bolzano Museum can see it thanks to the new conservation system. The paper describes the main features of the plant and also shows some layout details.
