System performance test results of R407A (HFC32-HFC125-HFC134a: 20-40-40%) compared to R502.

Summary
Measurements were conducted at two different condensing temperatures, 54,4 and 43,3 deg C. The refrigerant evaporating temperature was varied over a range of -30 to -15 deg C. The relative evaporator capacity of R407A compared to R502 was found to range from 0,93 to 1,07 depending on the operating conditions and the amount of liquid subcooling present. For all conditions tested R407A had higher energy efficiency than R502. The relative COP of R407A ranged from 1,01 to 1,06.
