Summary
At Musashi Institute of Technology, eight liquid hydrogen vehicles have been developed, and much study has been done on the many kinds of problems which arise when hydrogen is used as a fuel. Direct injection at a high pressure into the cylinder just before the top dead center, liquid storage on board and a method of hydrogen supply at a high pressure by using a high-pressure liquid hydrogen pump have been found to be best for hydrogen-fueled vehicles.
