Author(s) : HATTORI H.

Summary

The influence on global warming should be scientifically evaluated, and TEWI is one of the reliable methods for the evaluation. TEWI analysis was carried out for residential 2.8 kW air conditioners with R410A and natural refrigerants under various conditions. It was revealed that high efficiency R410A air conditioners with improved and recovery rate were most favourable in terms of TEWI. TEWI analysis also indicated that the efficiencies among different refrigerants played a key role in the accurate evaluation, and hence should be carefully compared.
