Summary
The Dutch Institute for Environmental and Energy technology has introduced a draft with requirements for refrigeration installations to go with the resolution prohibiting the production and export of CFCs after January 1, 1995. In this draft, which will be sanctioned by the Dutch government during 1992, a number of requirements with respect to the detection of (H)CFCs/HFCs are discussed. The paper goes deeper into history, environmental aspects and the practice of detection.
