The development of CFC-refrigerant recovery, recycling and reclamation equipments in Industrial Technology Research Institute, Taiwan.

Summary

In the R&D projects of CFC refrigerant recovery, recycling and reclaiming, several models of refrigerant recovery/recycling devices have been designed and manufactured by Energy & Resources Laboratories. The paper presents the development process of CFC refrigerant recovery/recycling equipments, including a R12 unit and a R11 unit. Also, the technology has been transferred to the local industry and their products have already been sold in the market. A brief introduction of refrigerant recovery/recycling status is also discussed.
