Summary

THE TRANSPORT AND COMPOSITION OF AMINO ACIDS IN ERLICH AND KREBS II ASCITE CARCINOMA CELLS WERE STUDIED. IT HAS BEEN SHOWN THAT TRANSPORT OF 14 C-GLYCINE IN CELLS CHANGED BY FREEZE -THAWING, PROBABLY DUE TO DAMAGE OF THE CARRIER OR MODIFICATION OF PLASMA MEMBRANES. AFTER THAWING, DIFFUSION OF 14 C-AMINO ACIDS FROM CELLS INCREASED AS COMPARED TO CONTROL BECAUSE OF THE FORMATION OF TRANSMEMBRANE DEFECTS OF THROUGH PORE TYPE.
