Summary

THE EFFECT OF DMSO AND FREEZE-THAWING UPON TRANSPORT SYSTEM OF GLYCINE IN CELLS OF ASCITIC CARCINOMAS HAS BEEN STUDIED. DMSO IN CONCENTRATION OVER 15% INHIBITS AMINO ACID TRANSPORT. LOW TEMPERATURES IMPAIR GLYCINE CARRIER FUNCTIONING AND INCREASE THE LEVEL OF PLASMA MEMBRANE DIFFUSE PERMEABILITY.
