Summary

The effect of -25 deg C temperature on the survival and activity of 30 strains of Geotrichum candidum Link arthrospore hydrolases was examined. The spores were suspended in 0.85% sodium chloride, frozen at -25 deg C and stored at that temperature for 24 hours to 90 days. It was found that the longer the period of storing, the higher the lethality, although it rarely reaches 100%. The influence of low temperature during the storage period did not change acid phosphatase and leucine arylamidase activity in the passaged cells.
