Summary
Rectification is a main method of air separation process now, which is a focus of energy consumption. Through calculating the reflux ratio and theoretical plates, the exergy loss of the rectification column of a model oxygen plant is analyzed. The analytical method is reasonable by using the slope of the operating line of the lower section of the feed inlet in the column. It is valuable that the result and the method may evaluate energy saving at the levels of the rectification column and the rectification process.
