The experiment of temperature distribution on organism tissue in cryosurgery.

Author(s) : TONG M., XU G., WU S. Y., et al.

Summary

The purpose of surgical cryosurgery is freezing and perishing the pathological change cells on the condition of preventing the pathological change cells from proliferation as far as possible. The paper has determined the variation of temperature distribution on organism tissue with cold source temperature and freezing time by means of infrared photographer and thermocouple when different diameter freezing scalpels are used and the carbon dioxide is taken for cold source. The results show that the infrared photographer can directly demonstrate the temperature distribution of organism tissue section and the thermocouple can determine accurately the organism tissue temperature. In addition, the experimental data from infrared photography and thermocouple are identical on the whole. The paper provides the reference for clinical practice of surgical cryosurgery.
