Summary

THE LATEST (AS OF JULY 1991) LEGISLATIVE MEASURES FOR AN ACCEL ERATED CFC-PHASE OUT ARE DISCUSSED. THEIR EXCLUSIVE GOAL TO DECREASE OZONE DEPLETION HAS ALSO INFLUENCED THE SEARCH FOR REFRIGERANT SUBSTITUTES. CONCERN FOR THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT MANDATES FURTHER SIGNIFICANT LEAKS THAT DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTE TO THE GREENHOUSE PHENOMENON. SOME PRINCIPAL COOLING PROCESSES ARE CRITICALLY EXAMINED IN TERMS OF THEIR GREENHOUSE IMPLICATIONS.
