THE IMPACT OF RECENT LEGISLATION ON THE UK COLD AND CHILL CHAIN.

Author(s) : WOOLFE M. L.

Summary

UNTIL JANUARY 1991, THERE WERE ALMOST NO STATUTORY TEMPERATURE CONTROLS DEALING WITH CHILLED OR FROZEN FOODS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM. HOWEVER, TWO REGULATIONS WHICH DO SO ARE NOW IN FORCE WHICH HAVE HAD A PROFOUND EFFECT ON THE CHILL, AND, TO A LESSER EXTEND, COLD CHAIN IN THE UK, NAMELY ON THE DESIGN, MAINTENANCE AND CONTROL OF REFRIGERATING EQUIPMENT.
