Environmental issues and legislation: consequences for the cold chain.

Author(s) : LUCAS L.

Summary

This report emphasizes the remaining uncertainties in the evaluation and causes of stratospheric ozone and atmosphere warming. Despite these uncertainties, policies must be centred on the fight against CO2 emission and CFCs. Different CFC users react to a greater or lesser extent according to their technical problems.Possible solutions concerning the refrigeration industry are presented. Important changes following on from them permit progress to be made in the entire food cold chain.
