Summary

The first volume contains the papers presented during the Regional Workshop for Latin America and the Carribbean, which was held in Caracas, Venezuela, in May 1992, and the second volume contains those presented during the Regional Workshop for West Asia and Arabic speaking countries, held in Cairo, Egypt, in december 1991. These two workshops reviewed the problems of the ozone-layer depletion, latest findings and regional consequences of the depletion. The policies and strategies to implement the Montreal Protocol were dealt with. Responses of governments and specific programs of determined countries were given. The application of the Montreal Protocol was discussed for all sectors using CFCs. The contribution of the Interim Multilateral Fund was examined.
