Summary
The author describes the Japanese refrigeration and air-conditioning market. He compares HFC 407C and propane from a TEWI point of view. He concludes that it is essential to quickly develop cost-effective energy efficient applications and promote market acceptance of these systems and that the best approach to achieving these goals is to adopt HFCs as replacements for HCFCs, thus enabling us to use the existing knowledge base and infrastructure.
