Summary
Comparative research was conducted into the performance of the natural refrigerant HC-290 (propane) and the synthetic refrigerant HFC-407C in a reversible split unit air conditioner/heat pump of the firm Koel-Combi as replacements for the banned refrigerant HCFC-22. Result of the climate chamber research shows that the natural refrigerant has a 17.2% higher efficiency.
