Summary

Feeding experiments were conducted with Trichogramma platneri reared from Sitotroga cerealella in the laboratory. Parasitoids provided with host eggs did not live any longer than those without host eggs. Longevity was inversely related to temperature declining from 53 days at 10 deg C to 3 days at 35 deg C for honey-fed parasitoids, and from 9 days at 10 deg C to 1 day at 35 deg C for unfed parasitoids.
