Summary

THE MAIN CONSTRAINTS TO WHICH THE INSULATED CLOTHING IS SUBJECTED ARE PRESENTED: MEETING FOOD HYGIENE REQUIREMENTS AND MECHANICAL AND THERMAL PROTECTION OF THE WORKER. IT SHOULD BE RESISTANT, LIGHT, FLEXIBLE, EASY TO WASH AND CLEAN. IT SHOULD ALLOW THE EVAPORATION OF SWEAT. DUE TO THE VARIOUS TASKS OF USERS, THERE IS NO SINGLE IDEAL CLOTHING AND DIFFERENT MATERIALS WERE TESTED. THE PROTECTION OF HANDS, HEAD AND FEET IS MORE DELICATE THAN THAT OF THE REMAINDER OF BODY AND HAS TO BE IMPROVED. AN INCREASED COMMUNICATION BETWEEN SUPPLIERS AND USERS IS DESIRABLE. J.L.
