THE REPORT INCLUDES 2 PARTS: THE FIRSTIS DEVOTED TO A BRIEF ACCOUNT OF THE PARTICIPATION OF THE IIR SINCE 1980 IN THE STUDY OF REDUCING THE USE OF CFCS. THE SECOND PART EVOKES THE AMENDMENTS AND ADJUSTMENTS WHICH COULD BE ADOPTED BY THE SIGNATORY COUNTRIES TO THE MONTREAL PROTOCOL IN JUNE 1990. IT ALSO EXAMINES THE PROBLEM OF SUBSTITUTE REFRIGERANTS, THOSE THAT WOULD REPLACE THE ONES MENTIONED IN THE MONTREAL PROOL FINALLY, THE AUTHOR SUMMARIZES THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE IIR CONCERNING THE DECISIONS THAT ONE WOULD HOPE TO BE ADOPTED.
