Summary
Three kinds of freezing systems are used in fishing boats: 1) semi-air blast freezing system by means of the refrigerant-pipe-shelves with steel pipe shelves for squid line fishing with freezing room temperature of about -30 deg C or aluminium alloy pipe shelves for tuna longline fishing with freezing room temperature lower than -50 deg C; 2) contact freezing system by means of the flat-tanks used in trawlers; and 3) brine freezing system by means of soaking fish in sodium-chloride solution used at skipjack pole and line fishing boat and purse seiner with sodium chloride solution used as brine.
