Summary

OPTIMIZATION OF REFRIGERATION IN THE AGRO-FOOD INDUSTRY IS BASED ON THE UTILIZATION OF A PRECISE CALCULATION METHOD RELATED TO THE COOLING SYSTEMS OF COLD STORES AND THE CONTROL OF THE COOLING PROCESS. SOLVING EACH PROBLEM REQUIRES THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MATHEMATICAL MODEL BASED ON A ONE-DIMENSIONAL HEAT-CONDUCTION PROBLEM, UNDER A VARIABLE AND NONLS FOR OBJECTS WITH AN ARBITRARY GEOMETRICAL SHAPE, TWO METHODS CAN BE EMPLOYED, ONE USING A SHAPE COEFFICIENT, THE OTHER A VARIABLE GEOMETRY COEFFICIENT. THESE METHODS ARE REPORTED AND DISCUSSED. AN EXAMPLE IS GIVEN FOR BEEF MEAT.
