THE PERFORMANCE OF LARGE COMPRESSOR DRIVEN HEAT PUMPS. SYSTEM SIMULATIONS.

Author(s) : MUNCH K., BERNTSSON T.

Summary

THE AUTHORS PRESENT SOME RESULTS FROM THE TECHNICAL PART OF A SWEDISH STUDY OF THE ECONOMIC AND TECHNICAL CONSEQUENCES OF THE FUTURE USE OF LARGE DIESEL DRIVEN HEAT PUMPS IN SWEDEN. A COMPUTER PROGRAM WAS MADE, IN WHICH THE HEAT PUMP COMPONENTS, THE HEAT SOURCE AND THE BACK-UP SYSTEM CAN BE SIMULATED AS REALISTICALLY AS POSSIBLE. THE OUTPUT OF THE PROGRAM SHOWS HOW THE COP IS AFFECTED BY THE TYPE OF HEAT SOURCE, THE THERMODYNAMIC CYCLE, THE SUPPLY SYSTEM (DIESEL, ELECTRIC POWER) AND THE SELECTION OF CONTROL STRATEGY UNDER PART LOAD.
