The potential applications of heat pump technology in Hong Kong.

Summary
This paper firstly briefly reviews the current situation of heating and cooling energy use in various types of buildings in Hong Kong, where the potentials of applying heat pump technology may be identified. This is followed by describing a limited number of existing installations of heat pump in Hong Kong. Finally novel solar-assisted heat pump systems are introduced and their potential applications in Hong Kong discussed.
