Heat pumps: a ready tool to save energy and reduce emissions.
Author(s) : CASALE C.
Summary
Heat pumps are a steady growing technology and a fast growing market. Today, they represent one important key for solving our problems of energy and environment. The author, after a brief examination of HP types and applications, presents the status of the current market. Finally, he elaborates on a theory about the advantages of their use for "annual comfort" which involves HP operation during the whole year, cold and hot season. This type of utilization will bring dramatic savings in our primary energy consumption and reduction of greenhouse emissions, which is becoming more and more not deferrable for our Planet.
