Summary

THE SECOND SOUND IS STUDIED IN SOLUTIONS IN A WIDE TEMPERATURE REGION WHERE THE CONTRIBUTIONS FROM ALL QUASI-PARTICLES (PHONONS, ROTONS, IMPURITONS) AND FREQUENCIES SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT. THE DISPERSION EQUATION IS DERIVED ; IT DESCRIBES DIFFERENT REGIMES OF EQUILIBRIUM IN THE PHONON SYSTEM. THE SECOND SOUND VELOCITY AND ABSORPTION COEFFICIENT ARE CALCULATED IN THE HYDRODYNAMIC, KINETIC AND TRANSIENT REGIMES. THE CALCULATION RESULTS ARE COMPARED WITH EXPERIMENTAL DATA.
