Summary

THE KINETICS OF PHASE STRATIFICATION OF HELIUM 3-HELIUM 4 SUPERFLUID SOLUTIONS IS STUDIED IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE OF 50 TO 200 MILLIK WITH A CONTINUOUS VARIATION IN THE SOLUTION CONCENTRATION. A LONG-LIVED METASTABLE SUPERFLUID PHASE OF THE SOLUTION IS FOUND TO EXISTAND THE REGION OF ITS EXISTENCE BETWEEN THE EQUILIBRIUM LINE OF STRATIFICATION AND THE LINE OF FAST NUCLEATION IS DETERMINED. THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS DO NOT AGREE QUANTITATIVELY WITH THEORETICAL ONES.
