The significance of high water solubility and polar molecular structure of POE oils and CFC refrigerants when using driers and sight glasses.
Die Bedeutung der hohen Wasserlöslichkeit und des polaren Molekülaufbaus von POE-Ölen und HFKW-Kältemitteln beim Einsatz von Trocknern und Schaugläsern.
Author(s) : BLOM A. H., BROESBY-OLSEN F.
Summary
The authors describe problems related to water solubility, drying substances such as molecular sieves and activated aluminium oxide, and sight glasses. He concludes that in a well-regulated refrigerating machine, a correctly sized filter drier monitors the state of the plant discretely. It comes into action when moisture intrudes, chemical reactions occur or particles dissolve.
