IIR document

New class of lubricant oils soluble in ammonia.

Summary

Authors propose seven synthetic monomolecular substances of the same chemical class and similar production technologies to use in ammonia mixtures. The report contains data on their density, refractive light indices, solubility in ammonia and water, kinematics viscosity, flashing temperature, sediment formation induction period, lubricant properties in a four-sphere friction machine. The data obtained are compared with the corresponding characteristics of the well-known polyalkilenglycolous oil.
