Summary

The new speed of sound measurements of the liquid refrigerants R32 and R134a are presented. The maximal uncertainty of measured values is about 0.2%. The measurements were performed by impulse method using the same installation over a wider temperature range. The results for R32 were obtained for the first time. The acoustic data obtained for the liquid phase and the phase equilibrium curve were correlated. The thermodynamic properties of the refrigerants were calculated using the measured values of speed of sound and equation of state based on available p-V-T data.
