Summary

In order to study the process of the frost formation in the nature convection and the restraining frost formation of the parameters such as high voltage, electrical field voltage and cold face temperature, etc., the mesoscale visual observation was conducted to investigate the process of frost formation on a fin evaporator. Under the parameters: cold face temperature (-14°C); air temperature (15-20°C); humidity (20-90%); high voltage (0-40 kV), it is found that the frost formation distributing of the face of evaporator copper pipes is not uniform. The asymmetry high voltage field can obviously restrain the frost formation. According to the test result, the theory analysis and computer simulation are introduced.
