Summary
The article examines the advantages and disadvantages of hydrocarbon blends used as refrigerants in automobile air-conditioning. R134a is considered imperfect and is expected to be replaced sooner or later. The only disadvantage of hydrocarbons is that they are inflammable, but German manufacturers of household refrigerators are now getting around this obstacle.
