Summary
THE THERMAL CAPACITY OF A COMPACTED SPECIMEN OF THE LSCO COMPOUND CERAMIC IS STUDIED IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE OF 5 TO 55K. A BELL-LIKE ANOMALY OF THERMAL CAPACITY IS OBSERVED BETWEEN 28 AND 48 K WHICH IS ATTRIBUTED TO THE SYSTEM TRANSITION TO A SUPERCONDUCTING STATE. THE EFFECT VALUE IS ESTIMATED TO BE 10%. THE INTRINSIC ENERGY CHANGES DUE TO THIS SPECIFIC FEATURE ARE EQUAL TO 20 J/MOLE.
