Summary
Uses the classical Van der Waals equation of state with few empirical modifications to develop the general mixture equations of state with an accuracy similar to pure compound equations of state such as the modified Benedict-Webb-Rubin equation. Applies the model to R32 and R125 mixtures with an accuracy to within about 1% for pressure, temperature, volume, composition, enthalpy and entropy over a wide range of the state variables.
