THERMOECONOMIC ESTIMATION OF THE OPTIMUM EXERGETIC EFFICIENCY OF REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS.

Author(s) : SZARGUT J., MACZEK K.

Summary

THE AUTHORS PROPOSE TO APPLY THE EXERGY CONCEPT TO THE APPROXIMATE THERMAL AND ECONOMIC OPTIMIZATION OF REFRIGERATION PLANT. INSTALLATION COSTS CAN BE DEDUCED ACCORDING TO EXERGETIC EFFICIENCY. THEY INTRODUCED THE CONCEPT OF < THERMAL AND ECONOMIC SIMILARITY NUMBER > OF REFRIGERATION PLANT AND THE FORMULA BASING OPTIMUM EXERGETIC EFFICIENCY ON THIS NUMBER. THE OPTIMIZATION OF THE PLANT CAN BE EVALUATED FROM THE EXPECTED OPERATING TIME AT THE RATED CAPACITY AND FROM ENERGY COSTS.
