Summary
The main mission of the Enquiry Commission on Transparency and Safety in the French food industry was to investigate safety in terms of production and processing methods in the food chain. This document is a report on this commission's work. All proceedings of hearings and forums are provided with this report in order to enable the reader to acquire broad knowledge of the safety aspects of the food chain. The appendixes (3 volumes) provide the full texts of hearings held between October 20, 1999 and February 3, 2000.
