Summary

The situation of rail transport with both insulated and refrigerated wagons in Russia is analyzed. The development of this type of transport for the United States, Western Europe and China is reviewed. The author underlines that refrigerated wagons and their equipment are increasingly used, and that insulated wagons are now more widely used for other applications and products than previously. C.C.
