Summary

This book, part of "The compendium" collection, lists and describes some 135 fruit species from a wide range of origins: lychees from China, avocados from Central America, mangoes from India, pineapples from South America, bananas from the Far East, star fruits from the Malaysian Peninsula, dates from North Africa, etc. It covers the tropical, subtropical and even temperate species found on Reunion Island (a French overseas department in the south-western Indian Ocean).
