Author(s) : WATANABE C., SAKURABA I., KANZAKI N., et al.

Summary

The authors developed an UHE (ultra-high efficiency) screw chiller which has 40% better COP than conventional screw chillers thanks to the combination of many epoch-making new technologies including the Lorentz cycle with non-azeotropic refrigerant (R407E), liquid subcooling systems, high efficiency semi-hermetic screw compressor employing Kobe's own "super rotor" and more. UHE is also environment friendly by using HFC refrigerant with zero ozone-depletion potential. UHE's TEWI is as low as 70% of conventional chillers.
